Poetry readings from three new publications: The Land Called Me Back by Judith Shaw, A Little Bridge by Alex Josephy and The Mayday Diaries by Robin Houghton

Judith Shaw's pamphlet The Land Called Me Back: Poems from the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path, written in response to the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path, has been launched.

There will be a walk with poetry from 2pm to 3pm and then the launch event at 3pm.

Poetry Writing and Appreciation Workshops

As part of my role as Poet-in-Residence for the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path I’m running some writing workshops.

These stand-alone writing workshops are free and open to anyone over 18 years of age. Beginners welcome. No experience needed. It would be useful to bring writing materials, but I’ll have some spare paper and pens.

* Monday 11th May 2026, 1pm to 3pm (this workshop will take place at Alciston Church, BN26 6UN)
* Monday 8th June 2026, 7pm to 9pm
